Lisa Sottung, PT, CSI, CFMT, OCS
Physical Therapist
Lisa Sottung, P.T., C.F.M.T., OCS graduated from Temple University, Philadelphia, Pa. in 1985 and began her career in Physical Therapy. Lisa has since taken extensive course work in manual therapy and soft tissue mobilization, focusing mainly on the osteopathic approach to diagnosis and treatment of somatic dysfunction and most recently relating this to treatment in the field of women’s health. Lisa has received certification in Structural Integration, otherwise known as Rolfing, through the Guild for Structural Integration in Boulder, Colorado. In addition, she has received certification in functional manual therapy through the Institute of Physical Art (I.P.A.) under the direction of Gregory Johnson, P.T., FFCFMT, and Vicky Johnson, P.T., FFCFMT and is a certified Orthopedic Clinical Specialist through the APTA. Within the last ten years of work Lisa has combined her training in manual therapy with studies on women’s health issues and focused on a integrative systems based model for treatment of the pelvic girdle and pelvic floor dysfunctions.
Lisa is a primary instructor of Lumbo-Pelvic Integration (LPI) and Cervical-Thoracic Integration (CTI) for IMTS (Integrative Manual Therapy Solutions)
and currently teaches seminars around the country on evaluation and treatment of the pelvic girdle and cervical/Thoracic/Costal Cage (LPI/CTI). Previously, she has been an adjunct instructor for several of the physical therapy schools in the NY and NJ area as well as on staff and teaching for the Institute of Physical Art.
Mrs. Sottung is also in practice for herself in Westfield, NJ, which she began in 2001. Lisa and her husband Karl are very blessed with two energetic young daughters, Karli and Elizabeth.
