Donna Goldman, MS, PT
Donna is a 1986 graduate of the School of Allied Health Professions at SUNY Stony Brook. She continued her education earning her Masters of Science in Exercise Physiology from CUNY Queens College where she studied under Dr. William McArdle, author of Exercise, Nutrition, and Weight Control.
After working in a variety of clinical environments, Donna’s passion led her to work with chronic pain patients. She has over 20 years experience treating a variety of chronic pain diagnoses including RSD, fibromyalgia, complex regional pain and chronic orthopedic issues. She has worked closely with a multidisciplinary approach alongside nuerology, pain management and anesthesiolgy, psychology, physiatry, massage therapy and acupuncture. Donna draws on her training in myofascial release, craniosacral techniques, and energy work to compliment her orthopedic skills.
Furthermore, Donna has studied advanced bio-energy techniques. In addition, she has also studied segmental myofascial release and myofascial stretching.
Donna incorporates her myofascial release and orthopedic skills to assist in wellness programs. She has been a physical therapist at the U.S. Tennis Open for over 10 years working one-on-one with top ranked tennis players.
When not practicing physical therapy, Donna is an avid tennis player, swimmer and mother of 2 daughters. She understands the balance between work and play, mind and body and incorporates that into her patients’ experience.
