Functional Forum Meetup at KIMA

As part of our commitment to root cause medicine we have been hosting the Functional Forum official Manhattan meetup on the first Monday of each month. The Functional Forum has always been a live event on the first Monday of every month in NYC. It is now national! The official Manhattan, NYC meetup and screening of the live event has been held at KIMA since the beginning of the year with dozens of others running concurrently around the world. The Functional Forum is the world’s largest integrative medicine conference. This new concept in practitioner education, “medutainment”, brings together the latest health news, functional medicine research, practice development and health technology in an upbeat, entertaining way. They curate the industry’s leading innovators in a mixed-media format that combines interviews, TED-style talks, videos, audience interaction, and music. Scaling their influence through empowering community in every corner of the globe, encouraging and facilitating meetups around this monthly content.

The monthly live interactive web show is for health professionals who are passionate about the Evolution of Medicine. By initiating a local group and featuring an NYC based special guest, we are striving to stimulate referrals to and from specialists and other practitioners, developing a community of like-minded providers in our area, playing a significant part in accelerating the Evolution of Medicine.  The innovative approach to practitioner education brings together the top medical talent in the KIMA space, we get to discuss the latest health news, functional medicine research, practice development and health technology in an upbeat, entertaining way.

So far, we have covered a wide range of interesting topics including Functional Neuropsychiatry, Genetic Dark Matter - from the cutting edge of Genomics, the hottest topic in integrative and functional medicine: Gut Health + a recap of the Integrative Health Symposium. This month, for the first time ever, the Functional Forum leaves the North American continent for a groundbreaking show on Monday, June 6th, at the Royal Society of Medicine in London, the world’s oldest medical institution to look at the future of how Functional Medicine can scale to meet the needs of modern health systems outside of America.

This month we're excited to taste what Integrative Registered Dietitian, Vanessa Berenstein (Healing From Scratch) will be providing for us!

We're also looking forward to inviting our final featured NYC meetup guest before the Summer break commences, a true pioneer in regenerative spine and sports medicine, New York City physician, Andre Panagos M.D. Dr. Panagos has been treating, preventing, and healing chronic pain for nearly two decades.  His practice is dedicated to regenerative spine and sports medicine which makes him a physician at the forefront of a new renaissance in medicine.  Functional Forum official Manhattan meetup will resume again on Monday, September 12th at KIMA.
