Suzanne Jordan, PT, DPT, CPI
Certified Pilates Instructor
Suzanne Jordan received her Doctorate of Physical Therapy (DPT) from Hunter College, City University of New York and received the School of Health Sciences Service Award for outstanding contributions to physical therapy and student peers. While completing her degree, Suzanne pursued continuing education coursework with the Institute of Physical Art, Maitland-Australian Physiotherapy Seminars and Kinetic Control earning seven post-graduate manual therapy certificates.
In addition, Suzanne is a Certified Pilates Instructor and received certification through The Pilates Studio in 1999. She maintained a private practice in New York City prior to working at KIMA with clientele comprised of athletes and performers referred from physical therapists and orthopedic surgeons. She has worked in a variety of physical therapy settings using Pilates to personalize therapeutic and home exercise programs for patients throughout the rehabilitation process. In addition, Suzanne has served as an educator responsible for training physical therapists in Pilates with an emphasis on specific injury rehabilitation, core strengthening and overall conditioning.
Suzanne is a former a trapeze artist and professional dancer. She received a Bachelors of Fine Arts from the University of North Carolina School of the Arts.
