Justine Ward graduated from Ithaca College with her Doctorate of Physical Therapy degree in 2013. She is a board certified clinical specialist in women’s health physical therapy, as deemed by the American Board of Physical Therapy Specialties. Justine has completed multiple post-graduate continuing education courses through the Herman & Wallace Pelvic Rehabilitation Institute, where she has developed advanced skills in manual therapy and become an expert in treating individuals with complex women’s and men’s health diagnoses. Much of her clinical practice is dedicated to treating individuals with pelvic dysfunction and pain, as well as prenatal and postpartum injuries.
Justine is a former collegiate gymnast and has a keen eye for seeing how movement influences function in all patient populations. By identifying areas of non-optimal movement, Justine is able to prescribe specific, targeted exercises to enhance movement strategies and eliminate pain. As a Reiki practitioner, certified breathing behavior analyst, and pain neuroscience educator, Justine recognizes the importance of the mind-body connection in healing. She works with every patient to design an individualized treatment plan in order to meet their goals and address the root cause of pain.
Justine is also a part-time core faculty member in the Physical Therapy Department at Dominican College in Orangeburg, NY. Her passion and commitment to teaching and learning allows her to stay current in the field of physical therapy and use the best available evidence in both her clinical practice and the classroom.
