This course, consisting of lectures and labs is targeted towards sports medicine professionals and will introduce an analytical approach to Return to Sport based on musculoskeletal bio-mechanical principles related to sports performance and sports medicine. The course offers an introduction to Conatus Return to Sport Examination Guidelines, review of Return to Sport protocols, Lower Extremity Return to Sport protocols, related definitions, and current best practices. Instructors with diverse professional experience including mathematics, engineering, human performance, and physical therapy will present the course and lab.

Paul Mitalski, CEO
Paul Mitalski is a Mathematician and the CEO and founder of Conatus Athletics. Paul is currently collaborating with Purdue University Mechanical Engineering on research related to musculoskeletal biomechanics and the mathematical models of biological materials. Paul has managed sports medicine facilities in Chicago, Dallas, and Los Angeles where he applied Mathematics, Science and Engineering principals to Human Performance and Rehabilitation. Matt Sremba, PT, DPT, received his Doctor of Physical Therapy Degree from The University of Colorado and is an APTA certified orthopedic specialist. He is currently a Sports Medicine Physical Therapist at Children’s Hospital Colorado. He has managed the Sports Performance of a wide range of clients from recreational athletes to USATF Olympic gold medalists. Dr. Sremba has lectured on the national and local levels including the APTA Combined Sections Meeting and has completed Advanced Functional Biomechanics of the Lower Quarter Certification from Dr. Christopher Powers at The University of Southern California.
